First Federal Lakewood teamed up with Enterprise Community Partners and the Detroit Shoreway Development Organization to host a free Financial Wellness Fair on Saturday, March 7th at the Gordon Square Arcade.
First Federal Lakewood financial experts offered comprehensive financial checkups and provided essential tips, strategies and educational information to help Detroit Shoreway community members boost their overall fiscal health, including:
- Steps to improve credit
- Buying a home – the right time, the right options
- The importance of financial literacy
- Making informed decisions when choosing banking products
- Tips and ideas for small business owners
First Federal Lakewood believes that when even one small business or resident gets financially healthier, we all do. Mutual banking is about members of the same community investing in each other, and that is why First Federal Lakewood has thrived since 1935.
According to Samantha Semick, First Federal Lakewood Gordon Square Branch Manager, “We don’t rely on shareholders. We rely on each other. This Financial Wellness Fair is just one example of how we can all work together to ensure the ongoing economic vitality of our community.”
