{"id":490,"date":"2022-07-26T16:31:16","date_gmt":"2022-07-26T16:31:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/neighborhoodmedia.org\/metrourbannews\/?p=490"},"modified":"2022-07-26T16:35:13","modified_gmt":"2022-07-26T16:35:13","slug":"high-school-students-demonstrate-their-summer-learning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/neighborhoodmedia.org\/metrourbannews\/2022\/07\/26\/high-school-students-demonstrate-their-summer-learning\/","title":{"rendered":"High school students demonstrate their Summer Learning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em><strong>CMSD NEWS BUREAU<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The high school portion of the CMSD Summer Learning Experience wrapped up Friday with students presenting and getting judges&#8217; feedback on projects they chose and researched.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Student teams from different schools gathered at the Garrett Morgan Campus for &#8220;demonstrations of learning.&#8221; Among the topics were freedom of speech, the Underground Railroad, crime scene investigation, developing a guide for travel to Japan and starting a gym.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Demonstrations of learning are just one part of CMSD&#8217;s new Vision of Learning, a style designed to more deeply engage students and give them more voice in what they study.
