To Parents & Caregivers of CMSD Students:

At approximately 2:45 PM today, Governor DeWine order the closure of all Ohio schools beginning at the close of business on Monday, March 16th for a three-week period.  While the implications and details of a three-week closure are still being worked out, CMSD is implementing the following modified schedule:

Tomorrow, Friday, March 13thwill be the last day of school for CMSD students.

All of our schools will operate on our normal schedule tomorrow and our staff will be reminding students to take home with them tomorrow any supplies, personal belongings, medications, and other materials they will need during this three-week closure of our schools.  Teachers will also be sending home initial instructional materials they would like students to work on during the school closure.

Monday, March 16th will now be Parent-Teacher Conference Day

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held during each school’s regular school hours.  At these conferences teachers will be also be reminding parents and caregivers to collect their child’s important belongings, including medications and personal items, and will be able to take home additional instructional materials that students can work on during this closure.  School personnel will also be asking all parents and caregivers to ensure that we have current cell phone and email contacts so that we can remain in direct contact during this closure period.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support as we await more formal guidance from Governor DeWine and the Department of Education.  Please visit our Coronavirus Information website frequently at clevelandmetroschools.org/coronavirus for the most current information, resources and updates.
